Julie Bly DeVere teaches courses in Collections Management and Registration at SF State. Julie is an alumna of SF State, receiving her MA in Museum Studies, in addition to receiving her BA in Art History from Sonoma State University.

Formerly, Julie served as Director of Museum Collections at Filoli Historic Estate & Gardens, a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, in Woodside, CA. She has also worked in collections with the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House, and managed the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum. As an independent museum contractor and consultant she has also worked with the Cupertino Historical Society, Saratoga Historical Foundation Museum, and a variety of private clients.

During the 2010-2011 dig seasons, she was a Registrar for the ongoing PYIFA excavations in Abydos, Egypt; a joint expedition with the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, and NYU's The Institute of Fine Arts. Among many professional affiliations, Julie is a Board Member for the Bay Area Art Conservation Guild (BAACG).
