Through My Father’s Eyes: The Filipino American Photographs of Ricardo Ocreto Alvarado is a collection of 50 photographs chosen from more than 3,000 discovered by his daughter, Janet Alvarado after his death. This exhibit offers a rare view into the daily lives of Filipino Americans in the post-World War II era.
Presentation of this exhibit at the Global Museum is in collaboration with the Alvarado Project, and is supported by SF State's Instructionally-Related Activities Fund, University Corporation's Kaufmann Museum Studies Lab Fund, and the School of Art Annual Barry Fund. Public programs are supported by SF State's Division of Equity and Community Inclusion's Educational and Interfaith Programs Fund.
Through My Father’s Eyes is toured by Exhibit Envoy in partnership with History San Jose and the Alvarado Project.
