Now on view: Climate Stories, October 1, 2019-May 22, 2020
Climate Stories explores the impacts of climate change on indigenous communities across the globe and action being taken now, including on the SF State campus. Divided into four themes (connections to the ocean, relationships with wildlife, the power of plants, and adapting tradition), this exhibition reveals ways that communities are responding and adapting to changes in both culture and environment. Objects include stunning items from the Global Museum's collections alongside loans from the California Academy of Sciences, Harry D. Thiers Herbarium at SF State, and more. Join the climate conversation!
The Global Museum is located just inside the main entrance to the Fine Arts Building in Room 203. Please see information about directions, transportation, and parking here.
The Global Museum is accessible via the pedestrian ramp directly across from the Cezar Chavez Student Center. The entrance to the Global Museum and the exhibit gallery are wheelchair accessible. The exhibit gallery floor plan and label heights are ADA compliant, and large print labels are available to check out at the front desk. Accessible public restrooms are located near the museum entrance.
We are continuing to develop ways to make our exhibit gallery accessible to all of our visitors. If we can help accomodate a request in advance of your visit please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
