Amazon Watch program tomorrow evening 5:30-7:30!

Monday, October 01, 2018

On Tuesday, October 2 the Global Museum presents a special program co-hosted with Amazon Watch, a Bay Area non-profit that advocates for the rights of indigenous peoples in the Amazonian basin. We are fortunate to host Jeremías Petsein Peas, leader of the Achuar indigenous people in Peru, who will speak about his community's efforts to defend their ancestral territory from oil development. The event starts in Humanities 133 at 5:30 pm, followed by a reception in the Global Museum at 6:30 pm. The event is free and all visitors are welcome!
